Rado

Formed in 1917 as Schlup & Co., Rado started by producing watch movements only. In 1957 the company launched its first collection of watches under the Rado brand.

Modern design and scratch-resistant materials
Innovative, modern, stylish. Rado is known for its beautiful timepieces made from highly scratch-resistant materials. As a leader in the top-of-the-range market, Rado has become famous throughout the entire world for its research into materials science. It is the use of sapphire, ceramics, and even high-tech diamonds that affords the strong, unique character of the Rado watch. Designed to last a lifetime, Rado combines the best of modern design and timeless beauty.

Did you know?
One of Rados pioneering innovations is the creation of the «high-tech diamond» by the transformation of carbon into a nanocrystalline diamond, creating the most scratch resistant material. This technological prowess has led to the hardest material in the world, with its own entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
