About the Titoni Seascoper Collection
History
Titoni has endured the tough times of the quartz crisis and during this time in 1979, the brand released its first diver’s watch called Titoni Seascoper. The very first Seascoper was made in collaboration with famed photographer, marine biologist, and author Uli Kunz. The result was a remarkable deep-sea diving tool. Since then, the brand has added newer accomplishments to the Titoni Seascoper collection.
Features
Titoni’s modern-day crown jewel, the Seascoper 600 derives the number 600 from its water-resistance capabilities, i.e, 600 meters or 60 ATM. Apart from the water resistance, the timepieces are also fitted with a protected push-down crown for better protection. As is the case with diving watches, there is a ceramic uni-directional rotating bezel that helps with measuring the depth of the dives. With a date window at 3 o’clock, the luminescent hands are provided for better legibility during deep-sea dives and a helium valve at the 9 o’clock marker. Mostly, the Seascoper 600 is made of stainless steel cases but the Seascoper 600 CarbonTech is made up of light and robust carbon cases. The Seascoper 600 CarbonTech is also available with straps that are made with upcycled plastic made in collaboration with Tide Ocean SA. Another addition to this diving watch by Titoni is the Seascoper 300. Offering a water-resistance capability of 300 metres, the Seascoper 300 is also fitted with a ceramic uni-directional rotating bezel and is a much more affordable addition to the Seascoper collection.
Movement
For a robust diving watch, one needs to equip it with a robust movement too. Inside the Titoni Seascoper 600 is the in-house, COSC-certified movement, the T10. The T10 is the very first movement created by Titoni and offers a glimpse into the independent nature of the brand. Inside the Seascoper 300 is the workhorse movement, the SW 200-1. A COSC-certified movement, the SW 200-1 is practically robust while offering precision.
