In 1963, the first Carrera watch was launched by Jack Heuer, at the Basel Fair. This watch collection was named after the Carrera Panamericana, a road race of legend. The Carrera timepieces soon acquired great fame as they featured an iconic design and dials with a simplistic touch. Jack Heuer conceptualized robust shock resistant cases with water proof quality, durable enough to withstand even the most extreme road wear. New timepieces have been launched to celebrate the brand’s expertise in brilliant craftsmanship and avant-garde technology.
Elegantly designed, the TAG Heuer CV2A12.FC6236 model for men, is a perfect blend of luxury and style. The sophisticated brown dial comes enclosed in a 43 mm stainless steel case. Sticks shaped hour and minute hands come with luminescent fill, so you can see the time even in pitch darkness. Minute markers are displayed in the form of Arabic numerals. You can view the day and date in the window strategically positioned at 3 o’clock. Mounted on the case, is an ion-plated bezel in brown, exuding a masculine appearance. It exhibits a tachymeter for measurement of average speed.
The timepiece is presented in a stylish leather strap, with double security clasp, that fastens it securely to your wrist. Its transparent case back enables you to view its enthralling oscillating mass with an exclusive "Côtes de Genève" pattern, along with the engraved "TAG Heuer — Calibre 16 — Swiss Made".
The face of the watch is protected from scratches and is shatter-proof, as it is well shielded by sapphire crystal. Besides, its double anti-reflective treatment offers enhanced readability even in bright sunlight.
Powered by the Swiss Made Calibre 16 movement, the luxury timepiece guarantees extreme precision and reliability. The automatic movement features a diameter of 30.4 mm with 25 rubies. It has a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) for accurate time reading. With a water resistance capacity of 100 metres, the watch does not lose its functionality even if it faces accidental liquid spills or rain splashes. It has a power reserve of 42 hours.
TAG Heuer’s Carrera Collection was first launched in 1963 and had a very simplistic design containing just the registers and applied markers on the dial. This collection soon went on to become one of TAG Heuer’s first ever ranges of automatic chronographs and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013 having brought out new models every decade since it was introduced to the world.
The Carrera is one of Tag Heuer’s shining trademark ranges of Chronographs. The sleek and sporty finish checks off large and easy to read hour markers while greatly accentuating the luminous hands. The design also comes with a TAG Heuer logo at the crown with a Carrera marking on the dial. The Carrera’s stainless steel strap adds to the powerful look that embodies this series. Fabric, titanium and leather are also available as strap options. The anti-scratch curved sapphire crystal and double anti-reflective treatment allows for the wearer to use the watch with more freedom without fear of scratches or lack of visibility.
This collection provides water-resistance up to 100 metres. Chronograph counters feature stopwatch and countdown functionality. A date window at 6'o clock or 3'o clock gives you a holistic view of time. Powered by an advanced automatic movement, this collection is the epitome of reliability and precision.
