Always popular among automobile racers, both professionals and amateurs, the special versions of TAG Heuer chronographs were produced with logos of ‘the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,' as well as the names or logos of other racing teams or sponsors. Founded in 1860, by Edouard Heuer, the company was originally known as Urhenmanufaktur Heuer AG. It was later purchased by Techniques d’ Avant Grade in 1985, and came to be known as TAG Heuer. Their first wrist chronograph was introduced in 1914. Their headquarters are currently based at Neuchatel, in Switzerland. The TAG Heuer Carrera range of collections was inspired by racing cars, and promises you a set of watches that have a sporty look.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Day Date CV2A10.BA0796 is a stylish time piece. Housed in a stainless steel case of 43mm, the watch is a man’s perfect companion for any outdoor excursion. Engraved with Arabic numerals as minute indexes, the round black dial sets the watch apart from the rest. The hour and minute hands have been polished with luminescent markers for better readability. Boosting the durability of the watch, a scratch resistant transparent sapphire crystal protects the case window, as well as forms the case back, for you to admire the intricate workings. The bracelet is made of stainless steel, and has a folding clasp with push buttons.
There's a day and date display window at 3 o' clock, helping you keep in tune with the calendar. The dial is equipped with other chronograph features, increasing the functionality of the watch. The black, aluminium bezel has a tachymeter scale, a function that measures speed. Powered with automatic movement, the watch keeps time with undisputable accuracy. It is water resistant up to 100 m under water, meaning you have the liberty to engage in light water sports with the watch round your wrist.
TAG Heuer’s Carrera Collection was first launched in 1963 and had a very simplistic design containing just the registers and applied markers on the dial. This collection soon went on to become one of TAG Heuer’s first ever ranges of automatic chronographs and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013 having brought out new models every decade since it was introduced to the world.
The Carrera is one of Tag Heuer’s shining trademark ranges of Chronographs. The sleek and sporty finish checks off large and easy to read hour markers while greatly accentuating the luminous hands. The design also comes with a TAG Heuer logo at the crown with a Carrera marking on the dial. The Carrera’s stainless steel strap adds to the powerful look that embodies this series. Fabric, titanium and leather are also available as strap options. The anti-scratch curved sapphire crystal and double anti-reflective treatment allows for the wearer to use the watch with more freedom without fear of scratches or lack of visibility.
This collection provides water-resistance up to 100 metres. Chronograph counters feature stopwatch and countdown functionality. A date window at 6'o clock or 3'o clock gives you a holistic view of time. Powered by an advanced automatic movement, this collection is the epitome of reliability and precision.
