This watch is powered by the eta 2824-2 movement which is also available in higher end luxurious brands (i don't pay for brands) the dial had to be round and I was looking for roman numerals. The minimalistic design with the anniversary Lelocle font was what caught my eye with this watch..the inner dial relief work is stunning in person..as well as the butterfly clasp. This is packed in an amazing box which shares the 150 year heritage of the Tissot brand (I love keeping original boxes)..The exhibition case behind is stunning and the sapphire crystal has protected this watch from a blow or two. For an entry level swiss watch you cant go wrong with this watch and I would suggest buying from trusted source after doing research like Ethos watches provide.

After going through months of research and educating myself, I have narrowed the search down to a few points. I wanted an automatic mechanical movement Swiss brand leather strap watch, because they are the “real” watches. They show the ultimate craftsmanship and complexity of the watch making. I wanted a sapphire glass, and silver color watch. Sapphire glass for obvious reasons as they are the most scratch resistant, and wanted to avoid gold plated as there is a chance of loss of golden color with time and also a personal choice. I would have preferred a perpetual calendar, but an automatic watch with perpetual calendar was out of my budget. I started looking at various shops in Delhi and I was most impressed with Ethos in Vasant Kunj. They showed me several options and I narrowed down to this beauty, Tissot T-Classic Le Locle Automatic (Model no. T41142333), with transparent back case. The dial is of 40 mm which fits my wrist nicely. Initially it might look a bit bland, no bling-bling multiple dials and everything. But the beauty of the watch is its simplicity. It has a white textured dial with roman numbers and automatic movement with ETA 2824-2 with only date function. The ETA 2824-2 is a reliable movement and can be found in extremely expensive watches. The caseback is even prettier with transparent material where you can observe the 25 jewel movement. It has a black leather strap with butterfly clasp, which is very useful to wear and remove. I am now wearing the watch for a week or so and I am just loving it more and more. Its light weight, comfortable to wear through out the day, enough water resistance to withstand splashes and rain (I think no body will want to swim wearing a dress watch!), with ETA 2824-2 keeps a very accurate time (as accurate as possible with a automatic watch). And last but not the least it looks gorgeous. The best part is the design is timeless! No matter what new model comes in future this classic look of this watch is going to stay. That’s why this particular model is probably one of the bestseller automatic models in the world. I think you cannot find a better value for money Swiss watch in the market at the moment or probably in future.
