The Raymond Weil 5591-STP-00657 is a part of the Tango collection, which represents sensuality and modesty. The watch is a dual toned steel and yellow gold PVD plated masterpiece. This timeless watch for men has a round silver dial on a stainless steel yellow gold PVD plated strap. The dial has a diameter of 39 mm and 7.9 mm thickness, Roman indexes at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock and indexes on the rest. It has a folding clasp with double push security, which adds to the attraction of the piece. There are six gold screws on the yellow gold rim of the dial, a hallmark of the Tango collection. The screw is lacquered and embezzled with the RW company logo.
This strong, masculine watch has water resistance up to 100 m. The date window is set next to the 3rd numerical. It has a quartz movement and a calibre height of 2.5 mm. It is endowed with sapphire crystal which is scratch resistant and has an anti-glare treatment on both sides. The case back is solid and snapped.
Erol Ozan once said, “dancing is creating a sculpture that is visible only for a moment.” Raymond Weil adds a new dimension to this concept by crafting sculptures that are passionate, sensual, glamorous, and last for a lifetime. The Tango collection draws inspiration from the rawest dance form of all, Tango. Watches from this line give men and women a chance to observe a Tango between the two attributes Raymond Weil is renowned for- artistry and technique. Launched in 1995, the collection continues to mesmerize and dazzle even almost twenty years later.
The distinguishing characteristic of timepieces from the Tango collection lies in the six exposed screws embedded on the bezel, adding a raw element to the line. The round and rectangular shaped cases are made from stainless steel for ethereal glamour, and may be coated with yellow or rose gold PVD. Certain watches from the women’s version come inlaid with gems on the bezel in addition to the screws, to depict the glamour and lustre that comes hand in hand with being the female partner of the Tango. Watches from the Tango are available with dials in varying shades of white, black, and blue, with a centre having intricate workings that display Raymond Weil’s immaculate crafting skills. The time intervals are marked with Roman numerals, indexes, and gems.
The quartz movement of the Swiss made watches from the Tango collection ensures accurate timekeeping for the connoisseur. With single or dual date windows, certain chronograph editions of the men’s watches come with three subdials for seconds, 30-minute, and 12-hour intervals. The dial is protected by sapphire glass crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The stainless steel bracelets are available in two toned or pure options with double push folding clasps, while some watches have calf leather motif straps with traditional buckles.
