Raymond Weil is synonymous with excellence, perfection, precision and elegance. All of Raymond’s campaigns focus on the remarkable structure, a fine Swiss-make of the watch, and most importantly the musical inspiration. Raymond Weil’s brand communication has always been subtle with short films emphasising on the craftsmanship and passion of the collection. The films aim towards taking the viewer through an emotional lane that the maker goes through in producing a Raymond Weil.
Started in 1976, the brand has maintained the musical core but has been dynamic in matching with the changing era. Often described as a blend of classic and modern, Raymond’s designs never fail in being exclusively perfect.
The Tango Collection has remained sensual, sober, and refined since inception.
The Tango 5591-ST-50001 is a bold stainless steel watch for men. Its aquatic blue, round dial is indexed and enables easy time reading. The inner circle of the dial has the minute markings. It is rimmed with six screws, as is the signature of the collection. The crown has RW monogrammed and is coated with lacquer. This timepiece possess a stainless steel bracelet that is 9 inches long and 22.9 mm wide.
The well-marked gents watch has a Quartz movement, which ensures perfect time keeping. It is water resistant up to 100m. Sturdiness is added to the watch by the sapphire crystal case window, with anti-glare treatment on both sides. The date chronograph is at 3 o’clock.
Jack Riewoldt is the new ambassador for Raymond Weil in Australia. He is a professional Australian Premier League football player who himself is an embodiment of all values attached to the brand – determination, skill, strength, and refinement.
Erol Ozan once said, “dancing is creating a sculpture that is visible only for a moment.” Raymond Weil adds a new dimension to this concept by crafting sculptures that are passionate, sensual, glamorous, and last for a lifetime. The Tango collection draws inspiration from the rawest dance form of all, Tango. Watches from this line give men and women a chance to observe a Tango between the two attributes Raymond Weil is renowned for- artistry and technique. Launched in 1995, the collection continues to mesmerize and dazzle even almost twenty years later.
The distinguishing characteristic of timepieces from the Tango collection lies in the six exposed screws embedded on the bezel, adding a raw element to the line. The round and rectangular shaped cases are made from stainless steel for ethereal glamour, and may be coated with yellow or rose gold PVD. Certain watches from the women’s version come inlaid with gems on the bezel in addition to the screws, to depict the glamour and lustre that comes hand in hand with being the female partner of the Tango. Watches from the Tango are available with dials in varying shades of white, black, and blue, with a centre having intricate workings that display Raymond Weil’s immaculate crafting skills. The time intervals are marked with Roman numerals, indexes, and gems.
The quartz movement of the Swiss made watches from the Tango collection ensures accurate timekeeping for the connoisseur. With single or dual date windows, certain chronograph editions of the men’s watches come with three subdials for seconds, 30-minute, and 12-hour intervals. The dial is protected by sapphire glass crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The stainless steel bracelets are available in two toned or pure options with double push folding clasps, while some watches have calf leather motif straps with traditional buckles.
