Raymond Weil Geneve was founded in Switzerland in 1976. The company is currently managed by Oliver Bernheim and his two sons Elie and Pierre. Music has been the key note for the watch-makers since foundation. Their first music inspired collection named Amadeus was launched in 1983, as a tribute to Mozart. Precision, refinement, modernity gives a unique identity to each watch. The company’s focus has been quality and reliability.
“Aesthetic refinement & sophisticated design”
The collection is a dedication to the Opera pioneer Richard Wagnor in 1991. It is characterised by sophisticated designs and quality metals, like rose gold, diamonds, and mother of pearls to add a touch of luxury. A 20 years old collection has reinvested itself to sync in with contemporary times. It’s, now, an amalgamation of its strong traditional identity and distinct modern design. The Parsifal range is in keeping with the constant musical inspiration that has been the foundation of all Raymond Weil collections.
The Parsifal 9441-STS-00278 is elegant steel-on-steel design for ladies. It has a graceful black Mother of Pearl, round, and sapphire crystal dial. The sapphire crystal renders the watch durable for a long period of time. The watch has a case size of 27mm, with date configuration at 3 o’clock. The watch is a symbol of poise and maturity. It’s an ultra-thin and delicate. The case is diamond rimmed steel which adds to the beauty of the piece.
The Parsifal 9441-STS-00278 has Quartz movement, which is known for its accuracy. This timekeeper is also water resistant to a depth of 100 m. Thus you can indulge in various water activities without the fear of damaging the timepiece.
Raymond Weil created the Parsifal collection as a tribute to the great opera composer and director, Richard Wagner, in 1991. The challenge embraced by the collection was to adequately depict the struggles and qualities of a man well ahead of his times, and the brand succeeds in doing so owing to its revolutionary technology and masterful aesthetics. With an elegance that is ideal for men and women, this collection pleases the most avid of watch enthusiasts. Although this line was discontinued for a while, it started afresh in 2010 and continues till today.
The artistic appeal of the Parsifal line lies in the subtle interplay of textures attempted by it. The dial appears in shades of white, brown, and black, with subdials of a tone very similar to that of the dial, as opposed to contrasting, as is generally the case. The time intervals are marked with applied Roman numerals fro a stately appeal. The polished stainless steel fixed bezel sits upon a crown case that extends into the straps. The crown itself is topped with a domed gem.
The watches from the Parsifal collection operate on mechanical auto-winding movements for immaculate timekeeping functions, with a power reserve of 42 hours. Subdials on these watches offer small seconds, minutes and hours counters with indicators. The screw down crowns of these watches allow water resistivity of up to 100m. The bezel additionally boasts a tachymeter. Raymond Weil celebrates the Wagner opera fittingly by crafting masterpieces of their own.
