Since 1976, Raymond Weil has culminated into a timeless watch making company. It has a unique connection to music, reinvesting the idea that music is the harmonising factor for people. The brand keeps this keynote in mind while striking the chords of new collections. In sync with this thought and theme, the Maestro collection came into being in 2010. A discreet ode to the ‘Maestro’ of watch making and ‘master’ strokes on each watch, the collection has been the penultimate of beauty and incandescence. The Maestro is one of the many collections dedicated to music, or having musical connotations. Music and watch making are fused in the company’s watches.
The Maestro 2837-STC-50001 is the epitome of refinement and class. It has a stainless steel case of 39.5 mm diameter, and 9.13 mm thickness. On it lays the dual textured, blue coloured dial. The virile piece has genuine calf leather straps, with stitch detailing along the sides. The blue on black beauty has the traditional stainless steel buckle. The emblematic collection’s signature RW can be seen on the crown.
Hours are indicated by the silver indices, and the silver toned hands perform that function, while the minute markings are on the outer rim. A gentlemen’s watch, this piece fits perfectly in the evergreen Maestro collection.
This subtly gorgeous Maestro 2837-STC-50001 is water resistant up to 50m. It has mechanical movement, with automatic winding, and calibre height of 4.6 mm. The watch has 38 hours of reserved power. Sapphire crystal on both sides provides immunity from scratches and glare. The date function is enabled through a window at the 3 o’clock position. The watch is also capable of performing the hour, minutes, and seconds functions.
Upholding its tradition of producing watches that make checking time an experience in and of itself, in 2010, Raymond Weil introduced the Maestro collection of wristwatches. The Maestro series later launched the Maestro Phase de Lune model in 2011, which true to its name allowed the inspection of certain lunar complexities as an added feature. The Maestro 35th anniversary edition was also launched the same year to commemorate 35 years of Raymond Weil’s glorious existence as one of the world’s leading watch manufacturers.
The Maestro collection of watches is designed envisioning the requirements of both men and women, offering a plethora of designs to choose from. The watches come in stainless steel or gold cases with the crown adorned with the Raymond Weil logo. Sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-glare treatment has been used as the glass material. The crown can be used to adjust the hour as well the date functions. The watches intended for the ladies are adorned with decorative elements and diamonds have been used liberally in the more lavish models . The straps are made with pure leather and enhanced with alligator finish or feature stainless steel bracelets.
In addition to the main dial displaying time, there are smaller windows, which display day, date and month as well depending on the watch. The Maestro Phase de Lune also incorporates lunar phase related information. Some of the watches in the Maestro series come with a transparent back cover, which showcases the gear movement, the balance wheel and the oscillating weight within the watch. Select models feature subsidiary dials as chronograph counters. The watches in this series are water-resistant up to a depth of 50 metres. The Maestro series lives up to its name, as it indeed is the master of its class offering a stunning choice to both men and women.
