The Maestro collection by Raymond Weil was launched in 2010. Maestro, meaning ‘master’ in the art of music, is a stirring collection. Following the name, the pieces in the collection are effortlessly complex. The same way a Maestro makes a complicated piece seem like a walk in the woods, the watches are full of intricacies beneath the smooth mannerism. Raymond was applauded for the statement pieces which can never go out of style. It is also a subtle dedication to Raymond Weil himself, as the makers believe that there is a bit of a Maestro in the authentic Swiss watch-maker.
The collection is dignified, full of complications made simple. Precision, refinement, modernity gives a unique identity to each watch. The company’s focus has been quality and reliability. The company is currently managed by Oliver Bernheim and his two sons Elie and Pierre.
The Maestro 2827-ST-00659 is masterpiece, much like the collection to which it belongs. The watch is a multi-functional, exquisite piece for men. A stainless steel case rests on a steel bracelet. It has the stainless steel deployable clasp, adding to the classic demeanour of the watch.
The case has a diameter of 39.5 mm and thickness of 9.4 mm. It has a silver dial, with black Roman numerical marking the hours. Royal blue tone hands perform the hour, minutes, and seconds function. An aperture at 12 o’clock gives a view of the balanced wheel of the watch. The timepiece reeks of relaxed superiority.
The Maestro 2827-ST-00659 has mechanical movement with automatic winding. Sapphire crystal on the front and back, makes it sturdy, and provides immunity from glare and scratches. It is water resistant up to 50 m. The watch performs the hour, minute, and second functions.
Upholding its tradition of producing watches that make checking time an experience in and of itself, in 2010, Raymond Weil introduced the Maestro collection of wristwatches. The Maestro series later launched the Maestro Phase de Lune model in 2011, which true to its name allowed the inspection of certain lunar complexities as an added feature. The Maestro 35th anniversary edition was also launched the same year to commemorate 35 years of Raymond Weil’s glorious existence as one of the world’s leading watch manufacturers.
The Maestro collection of watches is designed envisioning the requirements of both men and women, offering a plethora of designs to choose from. The watches come in stainless steel or gold cases with the crown adorned with the Raymond Weil logo. Sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-glare treatment has been used as the glass material. The crown can be used to adjust the hour as well the date functions. The watches intended for the ladies are adorned with decorative elements and diamonds have been used liberally in the more lavish models . The straps are made with pure leather and enhanced with alligator finish or feature stainless steel bracelets.
In addition to the main dial displaying time, there are smaller windows, which display day, date and month as well depending on the watch. The Maestro Phase de Lune also incorporates lunar phase related information. Some of the watches in the Maestro series come with a transparent back cover, which showcases the gear movement, the balance wheel and the oscillating weight within the watch. Select models feature subsidiary dials as chronograph counters. The watches in this series are water-resistant up to a depth of 50 metres. The Maestro series lives up to its name, as it indeed is the master of its class offering a stunning choice to both men and women.
