Raymond Weil launched the Freelancer collection in the year 2007, celebrating the free spirit and independent watch making tradition of the company’s founder of Mr. Raymond Weil. Over the years, the company has stayed true to its watch making principles and remains independent of all constraints. Each time piece in this collection exudes class and the perfect symphony of tradition and innovation. This collection came with many firsts, with the introduction of visible balance wheels and fully mechanical movements for ladies’ watches.
The Raymond Weil Freelancer 2730-ST-20021 men’s watch is ideal for the modern man with strong ideas and exceptional sophistication. This watch is made completely from stainless steel finish with a strong well rounded case providing classy looks to the wearer. With a 42 millimetres case size diameter and a 10.2 millimetres case thickness, this watch exudes masculinity. This watch features black coloured steel on steel dial, which creates a stunning contrast with the silver coloured bezel. The silver toned indexes used as the hour markers and the silver toned hands add to the charming appeal of this time piece. The crown of this watch features the Raymond Weil signatory logo. The stainless steel bracelet adds to the sophistication of this time piece.
Featuring a mechanical movement with automatic winding, the Raymond Freelancer 2730-ST-20021, recharges on its own by using the wrist movements of the wearer and offers a power reserve of up to 38 hours. The watch is well protected at all times thanks to the scratch resistant sapphire crystal used as the case window and its water resistance quality of up to a depth of 100 metres. The sapphire crystal also features anti glare coating on both sides. Apart from the regular time keeping functions, this watch also offers a date display, which is located at the 4 o’clock position on the dial.
In 2007, Raymond Weil launched the magnificent Freelancer collection of watches. The name of the collection is a tribute to the uninhibited spirt of the artist, the maverick and the pioneer who expresses his creativity impassionedly and freely. The Freelancer collection includes watches for men and women and delights them both in equal measures.
The Freelancer Range of watches from Raymond Weil is extremely diverse in terms of the number of styles and designs it offers. These watches come in stainless-steel or titanium cases with mirror finish. Select models offer a gold plating in rose or yellow for a touch of opulence. The strap is made in either immaculately stitched leather or polished stainless steel, some watches featuring a dual combination of steel and gold. The case window is fabricated in sapphire crystal glass which is anti-reflective on both sides and hence offers a clear view of the time, while zealously guarding the case against wear and tear.
The Freelancer Range from Raymond Weil was the first amongst the watches to be brought out by the firm to have a visible balance wheel. A small aperture in the dial allowed the user a view of the moving mechanical part of the watch. It also marked the beginning of a mechanical range of watches for the ladies from this brand. Further enhancing the utility of the watch, the Freelancer series of watches has a luminescent dial, which allows viewing of time even in the dark. The more affluent watches of the Freelancer series come with an automatic chronograph feature that can be employed according to the user’s requirement. These watches are water-resistant up to a depth of 100 meters or 330 feet.
