From the Freelancer collection, the Raymond Weil 2710-ST-20021 for men features a simple and elegant design. It has a 42 mm round shaped stainless steel case with bevelled edges. There is a black dial ensconced inside and the side showcases a pull/push crown, with the RW logo embossed on it. In the centre of the dial, the clou de Paris motif is exhibited. Elegant baton shaped indexes mark the hours and the white minute track is marked by stick indexes and Arabic numerals at an interval of 5, have been printed at the rim of the dial.
The hands and hour markers feature a luminescent fill, thus making it easy to read the time underwater and even in low light conditions. Below the 12 o’clock position, there is an opening in the dial through which you can observe the column wheel. A sapphire crystal has been used to protect the dial and caseback, rendering them shatterproof and resistant to scratches. The sapphire crystal features antiglare coating to enhance sunlight legibility. A stainless steel bracelet has been used for the timepiece. It has a signed deployant clasp with push button release at the end, which gives you a secure fit.
You can easily view the mechanical movement of the watch with automatic winding through the transparent caseback. It has a power reserve of 38 hours, which ensures that the movement does not get disrupted even if you don’t wear it for more than 1 day. You can wear this timepiece while swimming and snorkelling, as it is water resistant to a depth of 100 metres.
Raymond Weil has been involved with several charities for fighting cancer, and to support them the brand has organized and taken part in various online sales of limited edition watches.
In 2007, Raymond Weil launched the magnificent Freelancer collection of watches. The name of the collection is a tribute to the uninhibited spirt of the artist, the maverick and the pioneer who expresses his creativity impassionedly and freely. The Freelancer collection includes watches for men and women and delights them both in equal measures.
The Freelancer Range of watches from Raymond Weil is extremely diverse in terms of the number of styles and designs it offers. These watches come in stainless-steel or titanium cases with mirror finish. Select models offer a gold plating in rose or yellow for a touch of opulence. The strap is made in either immaculately stitched leather or polished stainless steel, some watches featuring a dual combination of steel and gold. The case window is fabricated in sapphire crystal glass which is anti-reflective on both sides and hence offers a clear view of the time, while zealously guarding the case against wear and tear.
The Freelancer Range from Raymond Weil was the first amongst the watches to be brought out by the firm to have a visible balance wheel. A small aperture in the dial allowed the user a view of the moving mechanical part of the watch. It also marked the beginning of a mechanical range of watches for the ladies from this brand. Further enhancing the utility of the watch, the Freelancer series of watches has a luminescent dial, which allows viewing of time even in the dark. The more affluent watches of the Freelancer series come with an automatic chronograph feature that can be employed according to the user’s requirement. These watches are water-resistant up to a depth of 100 meters or 330 feet.
