Rado was established in 1950 as Schlup and Co. They launched their first collection of watches in 1957 under the brand name Rado. Their belief in the motto: “if we can imagine it, we can make it, and if we can make it, we will,” motivated them in creating an outstanding brand. They amazed the world with their ground-breaking innovations.
The Rado Integral model R20612712 showcases a unique merge of illustrative linearity with skilled technique. A classy black case made of high-tech ceramics and stainless steel keeps the watch light weighted and hardy. Integral’s dial embodies rose gold hour hands offering accurate time readability. The black dial also features brilliantly cut diamonds studded at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions for marking the hours. A rose gold pull and push crown is fixed to the black bezel for time adjustment. Coming in a dual tone of rose gold borders and the black segment in between, the high-tech ceramic bracelet adds to the beauty of the watch. Its folding clasp fastens the watch securely to your wrist and also ensures wearer convenience.
Forming a neat parallel line, the edge-to-edge black metallized bracelet, case and sapphire crystal mark a ground-breaking invention in the watch industry. The sapphire crystal case window and a closed case back protect the dial from unintentional damage.
With water resistant up to a depth of 50m, this watch can easily endure a sudden downpour or light splashes of water. It further exhibits the advanced automatic Quartz movement that is famous for showing accurate time.
Rado watches feature only Top Wesselton coloured diamonds. The brand is famous for using stones that meet the Kimberley process requirements, preventing the use of blood diamonds.
Rado was formed in 1917 as, Schlup and Co., which produced watch movements only. With the launch of its collection of watches in 1957, under the name Rado, it amazed the world with its innovations. Today with 470 skilled workers the brand produces half million watches every year.
First produced in 1986, the Rado Integral was the first Rado watch in high-tech ceramic. A revolution in the watchmaking industry, it fuses the purity of graphic linearity with the finesse of high technology, seamlessly integrating a metallised sapphire crystal, case and bracelet within parallel lines. This new collection remains true to the original but is new for 2014.
Rado has won the Good Design Award for its innovative Hyperchrome Ceramic Touch in 2013 and 2014 by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
