From the Integral collection by the brand, the Rado Integral R20748702-152.0748.3.070 features a unique design, that gives it an added appeal. The watch has a 34 mm stainless steel case, which comes with a yellow gold toned PVD coating, giving it an elegant appearance. It has a two toned bracelet with a stainless steel rim, featuring yellow gold toned PVD coating, and high-tech ceramic links, which makes it resistant to scratches and abrasions. The gold toned crown, situated at the edge of the case, comes with notched edges to provide you with an enhanced grip.
A grey dial with Rado and Jubilé signatures is ensconced inside the case. It exhibits a date window at the 6 o’clock position, making it easy to view the time. The hours have been marked using six diamond indexes, which are situated at the 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, and 10 o’clock positions. Yellow gold, PVD coated, stick hour and minute hands adorn the centre of the dial along with a needle shaped seconds hand. A sapphire crystal has been used to protect the dial, rendering it scratch resistant and virtually shatterproof.
This watch is water resistant to a depth of 30 metres, thus, it will not get damaged due to accidental splashes of water. Equipped with a battery operated Quartz movement, this watch gives you precise and consistent time throughout, and eliminates the need of constant winding.
In 2004, by converting carbon into a nanocrystalline diamond with 10,000 Vickers hardness number, Rado produced a high-tech diamond. This was used to create the watch V10K, which is certified as the hardest watch on Earth by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Rado was formed in 1917 as, Schlup and Co., which produced watch movements only. With the launch of its collection of watches in 1957, under the name Rado, it amazed the world with its innovations. Today with 470 skilled workers the brand produces half million watches every year.
First produced in 1986, the Rado Integral was the first Rado watch in high-tech ceramic. A revolution in the watchmaking industry, it fuses the purity of graphic linearity with the finesse of high technology, seamlessly integrating a metallised sapphire crystal, case and bracelet within parallel lines. This new collection remains true to the original but is new for 2014.
Rado has won the Good Design Award for its innovative Hyperchrome Ceramic Touch in 2013 and 2014 by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
