Starting in 1976, Raymond Weil took his company to new heights in the international sphere in no time. He changed the shape of the watch making industry with his fine Swiss-made designs, passion, and love for the art. Raymond Weil is credited for creating a unique category of subtle sophisticated pieces, looking into finer aspects of every watch.
The brand has made its name in its trade-mark music based collections. The term Maestro means an adept in the art of performing music. “Inspired by passionate workmanship and Swiss watch-making know-how”, is the how the brand describes this collection. Much like a Maestro, the collection is an ensemble of complications made easy and simple. Most pieces have innate beauty in its intricate designs. Just like a Maestro, the collection is grand, and one which cannot be ignored.
The Maestro 2837-STC-65001 is a bold piece. Stylish and masculine, the watch for men catches the eye with the round silver analog dial. Its stainless steel case is attached to a pure alligator leather black strap, which has a stainless steel buckle clasp.
Fit for all formal events, the watch has indexes to mark the hours, a diameter of 39.5 mm, thickness of 9.15 mm, and a skeleton case back. The outer circle of the dial has the minute, which allow you to read time easily.
This Maestro has an automatic movement, which winds with the wrist movement and a stationary bezel function. Its silver-toned hands serve the seconds function, while the date chronograph is situated at 3 o’clock. Sturdiness to the manly watch is added by the anti-scratch and anti-glare sapphire crystal. It is water resistant up to 50 m.
Upholding its tradition of producing watches that make checking time an experience in and of itself, in 2010, Raymond Weil introduced the Maestro collection of wristwatches. The Maestro series later launched the Maestro Phase de Lune model in 2011, which true to its name allowed the inspection of certain lunar complexities as an added feature. The Maestro 35th anniversary edition was also launched the same year to commemorate 35 years of Raymond Weil’s glorious existence as one of the world’s leading watch manufacturers.
The Maestro collection of watches is designed envisioning the requirements of both men and women, offering a plethora of designs to choose from. The watches come in stainless steel or gold cases with the crown adorned with the Raymond Weil logo. Sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-glare treatment has been used as the glass material. The crown can be used to adjust the hour as well the date functions. The watches intended for the ladies are adorned with decorative elements and diamonds have been used liberally in the more lavish models . The straps are made with pure leather and enhanced with alligator finish or feature stainless steel bracelets.
In addition to the main dial displaying time, there are smaller windows, which display day, date and month as well depending on the watch. The Maestro Phase de Lune also incorporates lunar phase related information. Some of the watches in the Maestro series come with a transparent back cover, which showcases the gear movement, the balance wheel and the oscillating weight within the watch. Select models feature subsidiary dials as chronograph counters. The watches in this series are water-resistant up to a depth of 50 metres. The Maestro series lives up to its name, as it indeed is the master of its class offering a stunning choice to both men and women.
