About the Oris Col Moschin Collection
Essence
The 9º Reggimento d'Assalto Paracadutisti "Col Moschin" is an elite Special Forces unit of the Italian Army, known for its distinguished history, as well as the rigorous training the members must go through to become a part of it. It is an all-terrain regiment; one of few that can operate on air, land and sea. In 2009, Oris began working with Col Moschin to come up with a timepiece that embodies this unit. The unit worked with the Oris designers to establish what a Col Moschin Limited Edition watch should look like and what essential design features it should have. This partnership guaranteed that the range had been tested under the most extreme of circumstances and put through its paces in dangerous situations. The Col Moschin troops are men on a mission and the Oris "Col Moschin" collection is ready to confront every obstacle. The Oris Col Moschin Limited Edition is an all terrain watch limited to 2000 pieces.
Design
The spirit of a warrior is embodied by the Col Moschin regiment's official logo on the caseback. Its insignia of the Roman Sword symbolizes readiness, precision and focus on achieving the objective of a mission, and of doing whatever it takes. Domed AR sapphire crystal zealously protects the case of the watch and renders it legible even in harsh sunlight.
Features
The lightweight titanium case is coated in gunmetal grey DLC, making it non-reflective. The intention was to help troops to maintain their camouflage. The watch has an extreme water resistance of 100 bar /1000 m, and the Oris' Rotation Safety System (RSS) ensures safety in the water. The tungsten top ring is durable, non-reflecting and can endure extreme temperatures. The company says that this is the toughest watch made till date.
