In 1957, Omega introduced its first Seamaster 300 watch, meant for divers and underwater professionals. Created to challenge the toughest conditions and to seize the moment of the most exciting experiences of men, the collection has made its mark. The timepieces from this range have been worn by the likes of Alexander Popov, an Olympic gold medal winner, who was regarded as one of the world’s best swimmers during his time.
This model is a comeback of the original Seamaster 300 range by Omega. With an enhanced appearance and breakthrough technology, it can be used on land with any wardrobe and also underwater because of its ability to withstand ocean pressure.
The Seamaster 300 184.108.40.206.03.001 features a sandblasted midnight blue dial, contained in a polished grade 5 titanium case, with a matching bracelet. Its dial is uniquely designed with elaborate detailing. The hour markers appear raised against the dial with distinct hour hands, which make reading in low light situation an extremely easy task. These hands have been rhodium plated with vintage Super-LumiNova coating. A domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the inside increases readability by virtually eliminating glare. Just looking at the watch can make you recognise the skill of the artisans, who have dedicated hours in coming up with a watch so perfect and flawless. This model is defined by its robustness, masculinity and elegance. The bezel made of liquid metal, an alloy considerably harder than stainless steel allows for unidirectional rotation, so that divers do not miscalculate their dive time.
The Omega 8400 caliber, a co-axial movement, capable of withstanding 15000 gauss of magnetic field, has been used for efficient functioning of the watch. This movement can be seen through a transparent case back. With water-resistance to a depth of 300 metres, the watch is perfect for use while swimming and snorkelling.
Launched in the year 1948, the Omega Seamaster Collection was inspired by the waterproof watches made toward the end of World War II for the British military. The watches in this collection have acclaimed worldwide fame due to their combination of exceptional stability and awe-inspiring designs. These watches are ideal for serious underwater sports and adventures.
This collection features several amazing series under it. First introduced in 1957, the Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial features the same dark dial, symmetrical case, big numbers and hands, and lighter indexes like its predecessor. The Planet Ocean 600M Collection showcases several watches with stunning designs and exclusive Co-axial movements. The Aqua Terra 150M Gents’ collection is easily recognizable because of its “Teak Concept” pattern on the dials. The Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies’ Collection was the first to be equipped with the cutting-edge anti-magnetic Omega Master Co-Axial calibres. Available in lacquered black or blue dials, the Diver 300M Collection showcase white skeletonized hour and minute hands. The Ploprof 1200M is equipped with Co-axial caliber 8500 and is water-resistant up to 1200 meters. The winding crown located at the 12 o’clock position, surrounded by the two chronograph pushers at its sides; give the Bullhead collection its unique name.
In the James Bond movies since the release of GoldenEye in 1995, the character has consistently worn an Omega Seamaster. The Omega brand ambassador, Michael Phelps, an Olympic swimmer and multiple times gold medallist, wears the Seamaster Planet Ocean.
