An amazing diver’s timepiece, the Omega Sea Master Planet Ocean 18.104.22.168.01.003 is a true beauty of horological artwork, setting apart new standards for underwater watches. A satin brushed stainless steel case strengthens the overall durability of the watch, while polished bevelled edges add to its beauty. The unidirectional rotating bezel is constructed with grey ceramic fill, and painted satin finished Arabic numerals as the minute’s markers. Encompassing the ceramic bezel is a black matte finish dial, engraved with stick indexes and an appliquéd orange coloured 12th hour mark in Arabic numeral. The vivacity of the dial is furthermore adorned by silver hour’s and second’s arm, with a blue luminescent fill, while the minute’s arm is centrally filled with green luminescent material for a clearer time display at deep and dim underwater depths. A helium escapement valve is also positioned on the 10 o’ clock bezel position to regulate the underwater pressure. The silver steel presidential bracelet adds for an executive look, which makes the watch suitable for any occasion, from underwater adventures to a formal party.
Offering a huge power reserve of 60 hours, the Omega Sea Master Planet Ocean 22.214.171.124.01.003 is driven with the official Omega 9300 Calibre, with self-winding coaxial escapement for a greater precision. The rotor and bridges of the calibre are finished with 54 jewel Arabesque wave design, beating at 28,800 vph. Its 600 metre water resistance makes it an ideal diver’s watch, best suited for deep underwater adventures. The chronograph features two sub-dials; small 60 minutes counter at 9 o’ clock position, and an hour counter at the 3 o’ clock position of a dial. There is a beautiful date display window positioned at the 6 o’ clock position of the dial.
The Omega Sea Master Planet Ocean 126.96.36.199.01.003 possesses Omega’s “Si 14 Silicon Balance Spring”, which shelters the inner elements of the watch by providing an outstanding resistance to shocks and environmental disturbance, thus, regulating the timepieces chronometric performance.
Launched in the year 1948, the Omega Seamaster Collection was inspired by the waterproof watches made toward the end of World War II for the British military. The watches in this collection have acclaimed worldwide fame due to their combination of exceptional stability and awe-inspiring designs. These watches are ideal for serious underwater sports and adventures.
This collection features several amazing series under it. First introduced in 1957, the Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial features the same dark dial, symmetrical case, big numbers and hands, and lighter indexes like its predecessor. The Planet Ocean 600M Collection showcases several watches with stunning designs and exclusive Co-axial movements. The Aqua Terra 150M Gents’ collection is easily recognizable because of its “Teak Concept” pattern on the dials. The Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies’ Collection was the first to be equipped with the cutting-edge anti-magnetic Omega Master Co-Axial calibres. Available in lacquered black or blue dials, the Diver 300M Collection showcase white skeletonized hour and minute hands. The Ploprof 1200M is equipped with Co-axial caliber 8500 and is water-resistant up to 1200 meters. The winding crown located at the 12 o’clock position, surrounded by the two chronograph pushers at its sides; give the Bullhead collection its unique name.
In the James Bond movies since the release of GoldenEye in 1995, the character has consistently worn an Omega Seamaster. The Omega brand ambassador, Michael Phelps, an Olympic swimmer and multiple times gold medallist, wears the Seamaster Planet Ocean.
