Using breakthrough technologies and state-of-the art manufacturing techniques, the Seamaster Planet Ocean range by Omega is defined by its robustness. Adhering to the undying spirit of adventure, each timepiece from this range pays homage to the brand’s rich maritime heritage. Launched in 2005, the collection has now become synonymous with quality and innovation.
Crafted completely out of stainless steel, the watch has a unique symmetrical structure with a screw in crown and bevelled edges. The link bracelet can be customised according to your size for a perfect fit and comes with a push button folder clasp for secure fastening and easy removal. A beautiful white dial featuring raised hour markers and Arabic numerals at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions, is contained within a 37.5mm stainless steel case. Protected by a domed sapphire crystal, the timepiece is scratch resistant and shatter proof. Both the sides of the watch’s face have been coated with anti-reflective treatment to virtually eliminate glare. The bezel mounted on the case is beautifully adorned with 42 round diamonds to make the timepiece appear opulent.
At the 10 o'clock position lies a helium escapement valve, enabling the 220.127.116.11.04.001 model to function flawlessly even in pressure chambers. Powered by the Omega caliber 8520, the reliability of the watch is unrivalled as the movement beats at 25,200 vph, A blue luminescent fill in the hour hand and a green luminescent fill in the minute hand ensures readability in darkness. The standard co-axial escapement reduces friction and increase efficiency of the watch, while the "Si 14" silicon balance spring contributes to the movement’s outstanding resistance to shock. A certified chronometer, the watch has a power reserve of 50 hours.
William Beebe, a marine biologist and explorer sported an Omega Marine for his record-breaking Bathysphere dives. Since then the watches from this range have been the companion for legends like Commander Yves Le Prieur, the inventor of Scuba and Jacques Mayol, the legendary free-diver, also known as The Dolphin Man, on their numerous adventures.
Launched in the year 1948, the Omega Seamaster Collection was inspired by the waterproof watches made toward the end of World War II for the British military. The watches in this collection have acclaimed worldwide fame due to their combination of exceptional stability and awe-inspiring designs. These watches are ideal for serious underwater sports and adventures.
