Introduced in 1894, the 19-ligne calibre, was one of the first watch movements with a special idea – Interchangeable and industrially produced spare parts. This idea was revolutionary in the field of watch making. The movement was also the first instance when the crown of the watch was used to wind the watch as well as set the time. It was called the "Omega" which led to forming the company in 1903.
With a classic yet sculpted look, The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial 18.104.22.168.06.001 spells masculinity. This design is in honour of Omega’s rich naval tradition. Its dial in particular, is reminiscent of the wooden decks found in luxury sailboats. The dial has a charming Teak concept pattern cradled in an 18k red gold bezel. You can find the day and date windows in the dial at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions respectively. Its hands and dial markers are covered in red gold, which offsets the brown dial gorgeously. The bezel and the dial are mounted on a stainless steel case that measures 41.5mm. You can fasten the watch to your wrist using its brown leather strap. The case is covered by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal which is also anti-reflective on both sides of the watch. At the case back, you can see the complex watch mechanism through the transparent sapphire crystal.
This Omega Seamaster is a COSC certified chronometer that displays day and date apart from the normal timekeeping. It ticks on a complex technology known as Co-Axial movement. This movement has reduced friction, which directly results in lesser wear and tear and thus translates to less frequent services. It also provides the advantage of greater mechanical efficiency over time. Moreover, the Co-Axial movement is equipped with Si14 silicon balance spring, providing it with more stability, lesser sensitivity to everyday shocks and resistance to magnetic fields. The beautiful Omega 22.214.171.124.06.001 is also waterproof down to a depth of 150 metres.
Launched in the year 1948, the Omega Seamaster Collection was inspired by the waterproof watches made toward the end of World War II for the British military. The watches in this collection have acclaimed worldwide fame due to their combination of exceptional stability and awe-inspiring designs. These watches are ideal for serious underwater sports and adventures.
This collection features several amazing series under it. First introduced in 1957, the Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial features the same dark dial, symmetrical case, big numbers and hands, and lighter indexes like its predecessor. The Planet Ocean 600M Collection showcases several watches with stunning designs and exclusive Co-axial movements. The Aqua Terra 150M Gents’ collection is easily recognizable because of its “Teak Concept” pattern on the dials. The Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies’ Collection was the first to be equipped with the cutting-edge anti-magnetic Omega Master Co-Axial calibres. Available in lacquered black or blue dials, the Diver 300M Collection showcase white skeletonized hour and minute hands. The Ploprof 1200M is equipped with Co-axial caliber 8500 and is water-resistant up to 1200 meters. The winding crown located at the 12 o’clock position, surrounded by the two chronograph pushers at its sides; give the Bullhead collection its unique name.
In the James Bond movies since the release of GoldenEye in 1995, the character has consistently worn an Omega Seamaster. The Omega brand ambassador, Michael Phelps, an Olympic swimmer and multiple times gold medallist, wears the Seamaster Planet Ocean.
