Once in a while, you come across a timepiece that truly takes your breath away. A watch so extraordinary in design that it is simply beyond one's imagination, we present to you the OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean. Part of the Seamaster collection, the Planet Ocean series was formed in association with the GoodPlanet Foundation with the aim to restore maritime diversity and educate people on how they can contribute towards a better planet. The first OMEGA Seamaster was introduced in 1948 and since then the brand has been synonymous with professional diving watches.
This exquisite time-teller represents the best of the Planet Ocean series and adds to OMEGA's rich maritime legacy. The stunning time-teller features an intricate baguette setting on the bezel, which is extraordinary, to say the least. The dial is made from mother-of-pearl, which is an iridescent material and looks like a different shade of blue from every angle that it is viewed. The exquisite baguette diamond setting on this delicate dial makes the timepiece even more unique. The watch features an orange leather strap and a 46 mm case made using stainless steel and gold. The luminous hands point to indexes and red Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock.
A date display window resides at 3 o’clock and a helium escape valve is located at 10 o’clock. The timepiece is water resistant to a depth of 500 metres and has been certified as a Chronometer by COSC, the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute. The OMEGA Planet Ocean brings together a multitude of shades as well as materials that complement eachother so well that the watch makes for an unforgettable sight. With a bright orange leather strap, beautifully studded bezel and a striking blue dial, this timepiece is undoubtedly a masterpiece that epitomizes the finest art and craftsmanship in watchmaking.
Launched in the year 1948, the Omega Seamaster Collection was inspired by the waterproof watches made toward the end of World War II for the British military. The watches in this collection have acclaimed worldwide fame due to their combination of exceptional stability and awe-inspiring designs. These watches are ideal for serious underwater sports and adventures.
This collection features several amazing series under it. First introduced in 1957, the Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial features the same dark dial, symmetrical case, big numbers and hands, and lighter indexes like its predecessor. The Planet Ocean 600M Collection showcases several watches with stunning designs and exclusive Co-axial movements. The Aqua Terra 150M Gents’ collection is easily recognizable because of its “Teak Concept” pattern on the dials. The Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies’ Collection was the first to be equipped with the cutting-edge anti-magnetic Omega Master Co-Axial calibres. Available in lacquered black or blue dials, the Diver 300M Collection showcase white skeletonized hour and minute hands. The Ploprof 1200M is equipped with Co-axial caliber 8500 and is water-resistant up to 1200 meters. The winding crown located at the 12 o’clock position, surrounded by the two chronograph pushers at its sides; give the Bullhead collection its unique name.
In the James Bond movies since the release of GoldenEye in 1995, the character has consistently worn an Omega Seamaster. The Omega brand ambassador, Michael Phelps, an Olympic swimmer and multiple times gold medallist, wears the Seamaster Planet Ocean.
