Launched in 1952, the Constellation collection by Omega, is a descendant of the Century. Century was launched in 1948, on the 100th anniversary of the firm, as a limited edition watch. But its enthusiastic welcome led Omega to make the Constellation collection, which contains the same aesthetics.

Featuring a white natural mother of pearl dial with gold appliquéd stars spread across it, the Omega Constellation is a gorgeous watch. This dial is enclosed in a 24 mm stainless steel case with bevelled edges. An 18 carat red gold case is mounted on the case with diamonds studded over it. The patent Griffes or claws also adorn the sides of the bezel, like all other Constellation watches. Made of signed red gold, the screw-in crown of the watch features ribbed edges for an enhanced grip.
Dauphine shaped hour and minute hands in 18 carat red gold embellish the dial. They feature luminescent fill, thus you can read the time even in dark.
A domed sapphire crystal has been used to cover the dial, rendering it shatter proof and scratch resistant. The crystal comes with anti reflective coating, so that you can easily view the time in even bright sunlight. Brushed stainless steel and rose gold bracelet, with ergonomic links have been used for a comfortable fit. You can easily adjust the bracelet length, and get it fitted according to your size. The watch can be easily secured with the push button foldover clasp.

This timepiece is water resistant to a depth of 100 metres, and you can wear it while swimming. It features Omega Caliber 1376 Quartz movement with a power reserve of 48 months. This battery operated movement gives you accurate time consistently.

The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.

The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.

A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.

This watch is the best in constellations series uptill date . Saw this watch at Rohdeo street , LA was not prepared to grab at that time . Temptation to purchase kept on increasing thereafter , Could not find this watch in many stores at Dubai and US. Finally Ethos stores, New Delhi confirmed its availability at an excellent price......A perfect place to own omega !!!
