The Omega Constellation 22.214.171.124.51.001 for men, features a black dial with silver hues ensconced in a brushed stainless steel case. The case comes with bevelled edges, and a fixed bezel. Roman numerals are engraved on the bezel and the sides feature the patent claws. Eleven diamond indexes are encrusted in the dial to mark the hours. The 3 o’clock position contains a date window for your ease of viewing. Printed white sticks at the rim of the dial mark the second/minute tracks. The Stainless steel dauphine shaped hour and minute hands contain luminescent fill, enabling you to see the time even in low light conditions.
The caseback of this stunning timepiece is transparent, so that you can easily view the intricate movement. Both the dial and the caseback are protected by domed sapphire crystal, thus rendering them shatter proof and resistant to scratches. There is a screw in crown at the side of the case, with notched edges, for an enhanced grip. The watch is presented in a stainless steel strap with links, which are ergonomically designed to give you maximum comfort. A push button foldover clasp has been attached at the end, making it easy for you to wear and remove the watch.
Self winding Omega Co-Axial caliber 8500 is present at the heart of the watch, which gives you precise and accurate time. The timepiece has a power reserve of 60 hours, and is water resistant to 100 metres, thus allowing you to go for swimming while wearing it.
The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.
The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.
A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.
