Omega’s Co-Axial escapement was launched in 1999, ushering in a revolution in the watch industry. It was the first new watch movement to make it to the industry in almost 250 years, and challenge the Swiss movement that had been reigning for years. In 2007, the first Co-Axial calibers were introduced.
Masculine lines and a classic finish characterize the beautifully crafted Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph 126.96.36.199.06.002. The design elements of this watch are reminiscent of the wooden decks found in luxury sailboats. It has a classical round steel case with 44mm diameter. The bezel at the watch face is made of 18K red gold. You can find the rear side transparent, showing the complex mechanism ticking inside the watch. Cradled inside this strong and sturdy case is a stylish grey dial with an eye catching teak concept pattern with red gold accents. There is a date window between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock positions. You can also find a thirty-minute recorder and a 12-hour recorder, as well as a small seconds dial. The dial is protected by a scratch resistant sapphire glass that also has anti-reflective property. A stainless steel bracelet holds the case to your wrist. It has a steel folding buckle for that.
The Omega Co-Axial 3313 movement is at the heart of this luxury watch. It is an automatic movement with a power reserve of 52 hours. Certified by the official Swiss chronometer testing institute (COSC certification), you can rest assured of accurate timekeeping. This Omega watch’s functions include central hours, minutes, off-centred sweeping seconds and chronograph. The chronograph allows you to measure the smallest time intervals with precision. In addition to these features, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph 188.8.131.52.06.002 also offers water proofing down to a depth of 150 metres thanks to the tightly secured case and screw down crown.
Launched in the year 1948, the Omega Seamaster Collection was inspired by the waterproof watches made toward the end of World War II for the British military. The watches in this collection have acclaimed worldwide fame due to their combination of exceptional stability and awe-inspiring designs. These watches are ideal for serious underwater sports and adventures.
This collection features several amazing series under it. First introduced in 1957, the Seamaster 300 Master Co-axial features the same dark dial, symmetrical case, big numbers and hands, and lighter indexes like its predecessor. The Planet Ocean 600M Collection showcases several watches with stunning designs and exclusive Co-axial movements. The Aqua Terra 150M Gents’ collection is easily recognizable because of its “Teak Concept” pattern on the dials. The Seamaster Aqua Terra Ladies’ Collection was the first to be equipped with the cutting-edge anti-magnetic Omega Master Co-Axial calibres. Available in lacquered black or blue dials, the Diver 300M Collection showcase white skeletonized hour and minute hands. The Ploprof 1200M is equipped with Co-axial caliber 8500 and is water-resistant up to 1200 meters. The winding crown located at the 12 o’clock position, surrounded by the two chronograph pushers at its sides; give the Bullhead collection its unique name.
In the James Bond movies since the release of GoldenEye in 1995, the character has consistently worn an Omega Seamaster. The Omega brand ambassador, Michael Phelps, an Olympic swimmer and multiple times gold medallist, wears the Seamaster Planet Ocean.
