Founded in the year 1832 by Auguste Agassiz, Longines is currently owned by the Swatch Group with its headquarters based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. Its winged hour glass logo is the oldest registered for a watch maker. Known for its ‘Aviator’ watches, the company displays great designs and technology. The brand has specialized in manufacturing watches of different looks and designs and has created a world record for producing the thinnest Quartz watch, for instance the Feuille d’ Or- is just 1.98 mm thick.
Among many such outstanding collections, the Longines Conquest provides you a range of beautiful watches that sit glamorously on a woman’s wrist in a celebration of elegance.
Longines Conquest L3.2220.127.116.11 with a blend of ceramic and steel is a legend among timepieces. The watch comes with a round two tone case, 30 mm in diameter. Its bezel is made of black high tech ceramic. Studded with stunning diamonds as indexes, the black dial is protected with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coat on the underside, which allows you to read time easily in bright sunlight. With a silver polished stainless steel bracelet, the watch defines perfection in the art of watchmaking.
The watch is powered by a high precision Quartz movement keeping time accurately. A date display window is placed at 3 o’ clock. The watch is water resistant up to 300 m, allowing you to go swimming while wearing it.
In 1896 the company provided timers for the first modern Olympics. In 1899, a Longines watch went to the North Pole with the Arctic explorer Louis Amedee de Savoie. The brand was the first to use automatic timekeeping for the Fedral Gymnastics at Basel in 1912. Today, Longines sells sports watches and chronographs all over the world.
The Conquest is a sub range launched under the Sport collection by Longines. The timepieces are elegant with a sporty touch. The skills of the craftsmen are apparent in the exquisite detailing of the watch encompassing the bezel, cabochon crown and links- made of sophisticated yet resilient ceramic. The line includes timepieces for athletic yet graceful men and women, catering to a wide range of watch aficionados and collectors.
The Conquest range features unique collectibles made of stainless steel and ceramic. Available in a palette of styles, this range has a number of options in regard to the dial size, dial colour, back case and adornment. Some of the timepieces are studded with a multitude of diamonds.
The sturdiness and functionalities of the Conquest Range easily matches the requirements of most sportsmen and women. Sapphire crystal as the case window ensures that every watch from the collection is scratch-resistant. The water-resistance ranges from 50 metres to 300 metres, offering various attractive options to the aquaphile. The movements used range from Quartz to self-winding mechanical caliber. Other functionalities include, chronograph, moonphase and dual-time, ensuring that there is something for every connoisseur.
Actor, dancer and singer, Aaron Kwok is the brand ambassador of the Conquest range for men. His popularity has earned him the nickname, “the Michael Jackson of Hong Kong”. Kwok has been the recipient of the prestigious Golden Horse Awards in 2005 for his role in the film Divergence.
