Designed to accommodate the requirements of the people of the present age, Frederique Constant watches can be related to all that is trustworthy, steadfast and consistent. When Peter Stas and Aletta Bax launched this company as a watch producing brand in 1988, they not only realized their fore-fathers’ aspirations, but also gifted to the world the pleasure of owning beautiful and well-finished timekeepers. Frederique Constant introduced the Worldtimer watch with a unique mechanism that instantly attracts the eye of the watch afficiando.
Featuring an exquisitely designed dial, the model Worldtimer FC-718WM4H6B of the Manufacture collection shows a remarkable refinement. Designed with the intention of gratifying the requirements of a modern man, the technologically advanced watch is structured in a traditional circular shape with a 42 millimetre diameter, with a height of 12.1 millimetres. This creation comes in a stainless steel case depicting the world map. White luminous indexes, glow in the dark, allowing you easy access to the time even in low light. A convex sapphire crystal protects the timepiece from external wear and tear. This watch with a passionate masculine quality and the artistry of expert technicians converts the ethos of a modern man into this stunning and spectacular creation. The skillfully engraved dial features a small orifice near 6 o’ clock that depicts the date. A silver metal bracelet with multiple links, will look amazing on your wrist when you put on this timepiece.
Bearing a water resistant capacity of 50 metres, the watch is highly durable. It is designated by the automatic FC-718 movement and backed by a power reserve of 42 hours, with alternances of 28'800 alt/h. The Worldtimer function is used by selecting the desired city and placing it at the 12 o'clock position on the dial. Internal discs automatically synchronise, after which it is possible to see what time it is in any of the 24 cities on the dial.
Founded in the year 1988 by Dutch entrepreneur Peter Stas and his wife Aletta Bax, Frederique Constant was named after the great grandparents of the founders. Established in Plan-les Ouates, the company has introduced more than 15 distinct manufacture movements as of 2014. A total of 7 different collections feature manufacture movements. These collections include Zodiac, Classics, Heart Beat, Slimline, Slimline Moonphase, Tourbillon and Worldtimer.
The first manufacture movement watch to be added to the line of company’s ETA-powered watches was the Heartbeat Manufacture, which awarded the Watch of the Year in the category of up to €3000 by Horloges Magazine. All models of the Heartbeat Manufacture have a characteristic bridge for the balance located on the front side of the movement. Using a bridge for balance on the front side, allowed the makers to place the fine and spiral regulations on the front side, making the Heart Beat design. Each watch in this series comes with a round bezel, which gives a classic touch to the watch. The guilloche design patterns used on the dials of these time pieces add to their beauty.
American actress Eva Longoria and Indian Model/Actress Nicole Faria have had a strong association with Frederique Constant. Other prominent brand ambassadors include Hong Kong actor Sean Lau and Spanish actress Ines Sastre.
