Raymond Weil launched the “independence of mind” concept in 2007. Soon after, in 2007, they launched the Freelancer collection, embracing the very same sentiments. The collection is an embodiment of freedom from all inhibitions, and taking control of self. The collection has undergone modernisation since its birth. While creating a Freelancer the maker feels the same freedom that an artist would feel in front a new canvas. The watches are urban and fresh, often revealing the mechanics of the watch, adding to the sporty and boyish look. Innovative designs have added variation to the entire range. The watches are a comfortable fusion of innovative depictions of youthfulness and manhood. Raymond Weil is renowned for his long association with music, and amalgamates his love for music and watches in this collection.
The effortlessly smooth Freelancer 2770-ST5-65021 doesn’t fail to impress. It has a stainless steel bracelet, which clasps through a foldable deployable double push security system.
The dial is grey in colour, with rose gold tinted hands, and indexed hour markers, adding a contrast against the background. The stainless steel case has a diameter of 38 mm, and a 9.65 mm thickness. It not only has the signature emblematic push/pull crown, but also a skeletal back revealing the complicated mechanics.
The watch has automatic movement, with 38 hours of power reserve. It is water resistant up to 100 meters. Both sides have anti-glare and anti-scratch sapphire crystal. It performs the hour, minute, seconds, and date functions. The date window is at the 4 o’ clock position, and shows the previous and following day’s date. A multi-faceted watch, the Freelancer 2770-ST5-65021 can be subject of envious glances at one and all events.
In 2007, Raymond Weil launched the magnificent Freelancer collection of watches. The name of the collection is a tribute to the uninhibited spirt of the artist, the maverick and the pioneer who expresses his creativity impassionedly and freely. The Freelancer collection includes watches for men and women and delights them both in equal measures.
The Freelancer Range of watches from Raymond Weil is extremely diverse in terms of the number of styles and designs it offers. These watches come in stainless-steel or titanium cases with mirror finish. Select models offer a gold plating in rose or yellow for a touch of opulence. The strap is made in either immaculately stitched leather or polished stainless steel, some watches featuring a dual combination of steel and gold. The case window is fabricated in sapphire crystal glass which is anti-reflective on both sides and hence offers a clear view of the time, while zealously guarding the case against wear and tear.
The Freelancer Range from Raymond Weil was the first amongst the watches to be brought out by the firm to have a visible balance wheel. A small aperture in the dial allowed the user a view of the moving mechanical part of the watch. It also marked the beginning of a mechanical range of watches for the ladies from this brand. Further enhancing the utility of the watch, the Freelancer series of watches has a luminescent dial, which allows viewing of time even in the dark. The more affluent watches of the Freelancer series come with an automatic chronograph feature that can be employed according to the user’s requirement. These watches are water-resistant up to a depth of 100 meters or 330 feet.
