In 1848, Louis Brandt founded the forerunner of Omega, La Generale Watch Co. and a story of horologic success began. The Omega timepieces soon garnered popularity in places like Italy, Scandinavia etc. It was after Brandt’s demise that his sons carried forward his legacy. Today, Omega is one of the foremost luxury watch brands.
Tastefully designed the Omega Constellation Co-Axial 38 mm 126.96.36.199.01.001 model is a perfect blend of luxury and style. The elegant black dial comes enclosed in a 38 mm stainless steel case and is engraved with silver toned indexes and hour hands. You can see the time even in pitch darkness as the hands and indexes come polished with a luminescent marker. The stainless steel bezel is mounted on the case and has the patented “Griffes” or claws, found in all the timepieces of Constellation collection. Roman numerals acting as hour markers are calibrated on the stainless steel bezel. You can view the date in the date window strategically positioned at 3 ‘o clock. The watch is presented in a stylish stainless steel bracelet that fastens it securely to your wrist, so that it does not slip.
Made of sapphire crystal, the case window acts as a perfect shield for the watch, protecting it from external damages. Besides, its ant reflective treatment offers enhanced sunlight legibility. You can take the pleasure of viewing all the internal movements of the watch through its transparent caseback.
Powered by the Omega Co-Axial calibre 8500, the self winding movement with Co-Axial Escapement, the timepiece shows accurate time. The free sprung balance enables automatic winding in both directions, which save your winding time considerably. This watch has a good power reserve of 60 hours and is water resistant to a depth of 100 m. Thus, you can indulge in a pleasurable swim, or any other water sport while wearing the watch.
The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.
The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.
A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.

I am also quite impressed with the sales service levels of Ethos. The person was in my office with the watches I shortlisted. It was a difficult choice to make between the Omegas I had shortlisted.. Finally went in for the Constellation... Been wearing it for 48 hours non-stop :)
The person from Ethos came home to adjust the strap and did a professional job as well.. Kudos to them and hoping after sales service will not be required and if required will be of same or higher levels.
